The latest versions of Handbrake seems to automate everything else very well. I did find the x264 Encoder Tune for Animation does help with some of the older kids stuff.

Honestly, I just choose the stock Super HQ 1080p preset and then change the framerate to Same As Source. If it's a superior format, however, perhaps it would be worth it to sacrifice quality by increasing the RF value or the Encoder Preset slider? Lastly, should I aim for H.265? I tried it overnight, but it took 6 hours for a single 18gb movie, and that times 300 will leave me without a usable computer for the foreseeable future. I have an 8tb harddrive, and I'm likely to buy another one when I can afford it. While I'm at it, what's the difference between H.264 and H.264 10-bit? Which should I choose?įor reference, I don't need it compressed much, decreasing the files by as much as a third would help tremendously.
I put everything on auto or none, as you can see, is that correct for no interference with the picture itself? There was also some advanced options written out that I kinda just deleted lol, should I not have?
